Approach


The main objectives of the ENOSYS project are shortened time-to-market, high-performance SoCs, and design integrity.

Time-to-market benefits are achieved (a) by the automated generation of SystemC code from the high-level specification entered into the capture tool and (b) by rapidly determining near-optimal solutions through execution in a unified simulation environment controlled by the design space exploration tool.

High-performance SoCs are generated due to the extensive search carried out by the design space explorer. Design integrity results from the automated translation of the specification into hardware design code, an operation normally performed by hand and so liable to transcription errors.
